For the past couple months, Charwei Tsai did an artist residency at Wysing Arts Centre, in rural Cambridgeshire, UK. She was commissioned by curators from Kettle's Yard and the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art, Cambridge University, to create new works for the "Making New Worlds" project.
Engaging with ceramics for the first time in her career, Tsai has created Ancient Desires, a set of over 200 offering vessels, inspired by the residency and made in Wysing's ceramics studio.
