Joyce Ho is participating in NGV Triennial, presenting Heads down (2022) and VERA X diary index (2022), both from the NGV collection. Ho’s creative practices extract ritualistic fragments of everyday habits to re-examine and reflect on the interactions between human and their surroundings.
Heads Down features 8 rope bollards placed upside down, addressing the obedience and muscle memory activated by “barriers” as the audiences interact with them. Vera X Diary Index features a protagonist exploring a living space, disturbing the interrelations among people, furniture, and the environment.
